This course jumps right into it with getting your hands dirty with essential field skills including:
· Outdoor safety
· Overland travel and planning
· Emergency shelters
· Site selection and security
· Fire craft
· Night time signaling
And if that wasn't enough, you have the option of staying overnight in your cozy little shelter!
There will be some time to experience the amazing indoor as well as outdoor facilities while still being able to:
· Showcase your wilderness home
· Debrief the night including clothing and equipment issues
· Daytime signaling
· Electronic communications
· Food and water procurement to include edible plants
And finish up with some time around the campfire!
At Serenity Houses, there are a wide range of accommodations, including:
All food is served on site and is included with tuition.
You'll receive equipment for the course, so don't worry about packing all the survival gear yourself.
Of course, this is a gentlemen's course which means that if you should elect to not stay in your own wilderness shelter, rest assured you still have your own room and nice soft bed.
As you fly into Spokane International Airport, a shuttle will be waiting for your arrival, to escort you to your waiting adventure. That night, you'll be greeted with dinner and a warm welcome by an instructor staff member who will guide you to your room. After a good night's sleep and a late breakfast the following morning, you'll be ready for the week.
Orientation is the focus of the morning.
Here you'll get your gear issued for the course. An overview along with a few short workshops sets, the context, not only for the following several days but also for survival situations as a whole.
Time to get your hands dirty with essential field skills including:

· Environmental briefing
· Emergency shelters
· Site selection and security
· Shelter building using natural and man-made materials
· Fire craft
· Night time signaling
There will be ample time to experience the amazing indoor as well as outdoor facilities while still being able to:
· Showcase your wilderness home
· Debrief the night including clothing and equipment issues
· Build shelters for the 2nd night
· Daytime signaling
· Radio communications
· Food and water procurement to include edible plants
It's time to return to shower and clean clothes while we debrief field exercise and go over
Map, Compass, GPS Academics and Field Exercise, followed by some free time for taking care of yourself and as always, a sumptuous dinner.
Now we have time for a course review, dive off into any questions with still ample time for optional exercises, games, spa or sauna; but don't forget about the small Graduation Ceremony and Banquet.
A Farewell Breakfast is enjoyed by all before once again being welcomed by the shuttle service to be on your way back home, taking with you not only your luggage, but now new skills and a weeklong unforgettable memory!
